I sometimes laugh when people fall over rather than help them up. I know it’s a little mean to just leave them there while I roll about laughing, but I am a sucker for a bit of slapstick. Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin are two of my idols. Give me a sight gag over witty repartee any day!
CONFESSIONS OF A MISANTHROPIC MIND #3

Falling down… I hate it when I do it, but I agree that it’s hard to not laugh when it happens to someone else (as long as they don’t get hurt). It’s the “woop!” sound they make on their way down, along with the expression of total surprise that kills me every time. Ok, that and the “one minute he’s there, the next he’s gone.”
I have had a couple of good ones in my life that keep me laughing, even though I was the one who bit the dirt. Yeah, falling can be hilarious.
However, I am in love with verbal comedy (not vulgar stuff), and well written humor. Thanks for the smile.
