Yes, it’s my birthday today.
I am 43 years full of mistakes, I’ve made a few wisdom and experience and hot air.
I have had a good day – eating many slices of chocolate cake while catching up with friends and family. It’s been a blast. I am happy and all caked out.
I share my birthday with Fred Astaire, Bono from U2 and Sid Vicious from The Sex Pistols. Is it possible to share the characteristics of famous people born on the same day as you? Mhmm, I wonder.
Traditional Taurus Traits include being:
Patient and reliable
Warmhearted and loving
Persistent and determined
Placid and security loving
But on the dark side we Taureans can be….
Jealous and possessive
Resentful and inflexible
Self-indulgent and greedy
I am sure my buddies Fred, Bono and Sid share/have shared many of those misanthropic tendencies qualities with me.
And because it’s my birthday I want to post for your listening pleasure one of my favourite songs of all time. It’s Cry Me A River by Joe Cocker with the inimitable, god-like, sexy- beast- if- ever- there- was- a sexy- beast, Leon Russell, on piano. Now that’s what I call music!
>>I share my birthday with Fred Astaire, Bono from U2 and Sid Vicious<<
Don’t think so; I share mine with Muhammad Ali, Al Capone, Francoise Hardy (you may not remember her) and Alfred Wainwright.
Happy birthday, anyway!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, my dear. Thanks for all those wonderful years of friendship and for your support, optimism and good humour. My life would not be the same without you. Not for a minute. Love the song. I want it played at my next party. Cranked right up. Love you!

TRAVELRAT – I remember Francoise Hardy – one of the beauties from the 60s. Mhmm – Al Capone, you’re probably right – just cause we share a birthday with these people doesn’t mean we share any of their characteristics. Hahaha.
MEL – Love you. Thanks for the pressie!

HEATHER – thank you so much. How are the little ones? Hopefully, they are well. I can just imagine Jeffrey preparing breakfast for you tomorrow for Mother’s Day. What fun.
PAISLEY – Sid was incredibly charismatic, wasn’t he? Probably the best looking punk ever. If you are inclined to wear purple I would say His Most Purpleness is influencing you from afar. You never know, there could be some truth in it. π
BRITT – you are gorgeous. XX00X

NANNA – I love long hair. I feel naked when I get it cut. My Great Gran had it waist-length until the day she died. It was pure white. That’s what I’m hoping for.
LISA – I have had chocolate cake overload. It is my favourite dessert. I believe there are one or two slices left. Should I? Could I? Thanks so much for the kind wishes.
KAREN – I am virtually hugging you right now……..there, did you feel it? Thank you for your kind wishes, my dear friend.
GERALDINE – awww, thank you so much for saying all those lovely things. You are gorgeous. xx
NAT – that is a very cool avatar. Did you design it yourself? I wish I could do things like that.
SPASMICALLYPERFECT – what a joy to see Joe Cocker. How fantastic. I’m so glad the sun is shining in your neck of the woods. It is here too. Lovely weather all round!
CHRIS – I am not a great sneerer, that’s true. tHank you for the kind wishes.

Oooh!! Happy belated birthday Selma! May you have a wonderful year ahead filled with love and laughter and not a thing at all to worry about.
I don’t know who I share my birthday with… let me see if Google knows:
Ooh: I got Bono’s bandmate, Adam Clayton! Yay!!
Mmm, and L Ron Hubbard. Erk. I have to agree with Travel Rat on that one. No way. (Unless I’m about to publish a science fiction novel that will be taken hopelessly out of context and generate an outrageous pseudoreligion… nah, I still think not.)
Ooh: Earl Grey. No wonder I like his tea!

I feel so terrible that my slackness at blog reading meant I missed your birthday. I hope it was a wonderful day for you. You can’t beat the decadence of a big slice of chocolate cake but hey, who can stop at one?
What a pretty lady you are. I have pinched your photo for my blogging friends dile π

PUDDOCK – yay, a hug from Scotland. I feel such a yearning to return at the moment. No matter how long you live in another country, there is really no place like home. Yesterday I thought I had eaten too much chocolate cake but today I felt like another slice. Thank goodness it was all gone. I am a true chocaholic!
DAOINE – well, at least we would have been bandmates. And if you had been L.Ron instead of yourself you would have got to meet Tom Cruise and John Travolta ( a booby prize, perhaps?) I am partial to a bit of Earl Grey myself. You are a woman after my own heart.
GYPSY – please don’t worry about that. I had a great time stuffing my face full of cake. I was actually living out one of the deadly sins all weekend. Not a good look. I am honoured to be in your file. Truly honoured.
