LikeLike I find it interesting that the day after Christmas has changed over the years. For many years, I had the hustle and bustle of returning gifts that didn’t fit or taking my kids to advantage of the after-Christmas sales with their Christmas money. Now I find myself just relaxing and enjoying old movies on the television and eating leftovers. Another year has come and gone, and though it wasn’t the best year of my life, it certainly wasn’t the worst. I am beginning to think that is the blessing in getting older. I am so glad I met you this year Selma. I have enjoyed our friendship and look forward to getting to know you better through our writings. I actually purchased a $20 lottery ticket for a special New Year’s Eve drawing. I told my family if I won one of the million dollar prizes, the first thing I was going to do was buy a ticket to Australia as I have a friend there. Merry Christmas Selma. LikeLike You certainly know how to enjoy Christmas: the looking forward to, the day itself and, the quiet afterglow. I’m with you. That is how it should be. A lovely piece of writing. LikeLike CRICKET – well I hope you win because it would be great to meet you. That is one of the benefits of blogging – the lovely people you meet! MARY – afterglow is such a soothing word. Perfectly describes the day after Christmas! LikeLike Comments are closed.
