The last month has been really bad for me. It would be fair to say it was crap. I try not to dwell on the negatives too much and to focus on hopeful things but sometimes I just feel like blowing the entire world an enormous raspberry.
I want to say, though, how grateful I am to all of the people who email just out of the blue to say Hello, or call, or leave wonderful comments on this old blog. Thank you to all of you. That you are here means more than you could know.
I’ve always believed it is nice to say thank you with flowers.
So thank you.
These are for all of you.
And these daisies are especially for Geraldine.
Wow, my first visit to your blog and you give me flowers….it’s like you know me! hee-hee! Thanks…and I do hope things get better for you.

It’s not that bad for me really, Slamdunk. Just a month where a lot of negative stuff came up that I had to deal with. It had to be done. I will admit to being very tired as a result, however. We all go through it from time to time, don’t we?

Mostly, Meleah, I’m just so tired. I would love to have a proper holiday. I haven’t had one for about ten years. Oh, to sit on a beach somewhere….. bliss!

Hi Selma,
Beautiful flowers, it’s a pity we don’t have smellavision, maybe as technology progresses who knows we may one day have it. ๐

Speaking of beautiful smells, Mags, I have an old rose bush out the front of my house. Last night the petals fell off and I have gathered them up and put them in a bowl. They smell gorgeous. Better than a bottle of perfume!

Hey sweet Selma, sorry you have been having a tough time ~ thru it all you’re thinking of others and sending flowers! Be sure to remember the cycles of life, the ebb and flow, the for ever changes.
And consider yourself hugged.

What a beautiful idea: to give flowers when you feel down yourself.
Flowers from Australia! Thank you so much! Can I give some to you as well? These are very special ones blooming in rare wet springs in the Mexican desert. http://kommoss.files.wordpress.com/2011/04/joshua-tree-8-k.jpg
Don’t let the blues drag you down, Selma.

They are all beautiful, Selma, but mostly I love the poppies. Life can be a bowl of toenails sometimes but often when we least expect it something flutters in the universe to make things go our way – hang in there!

I love that – a bowl of toenails – that sums it up perfectly. Hahaha. It’s true – something or someone comes along when we least expect it to brighten our day. I like poppies too – they are so jolly!

Hmm, I was never one for flowers. I’ve given flowers to women though, in a romantic gesture and even just because they are nice gals – no strings attached. Because all women love flowers. Any living creature female will love flowers. Even my late dog Shawny; when she would be free in the garden she would always stop to smell the roses, shoeflowers and others that my parents planted. Shawny truly was a flower lover.

That’s so cute about Shawny, Roshan. I had a dog who used to smell flowers too. It was adorable. For me, I would rather let flowers grow free than pick them, though. That’s why I like walking through gardens!
