Hope your days in this newest of years are bursting with colour, brimming with expectation and are choc-a-block full of joie de vivre.
Oh yeah, you say with a sardonic glint in your eye. Like that’s gonna happen.
I believe it. I feel it. 2012 is going to be a better year for all of us.
Let’s go.
Let’s get into it.
Let’s make it happen.
2012 is our year.
Cheers to a great year!

Yes, Selma, I agree… let’s make it happen! We can dread life or embrace it. Today is a chance to enscribe our lives on a new page in a new book! When we are no longer here on this earth, how do we want it to read? I want mine to say that I loved life, was kind to people, and took care of my own. I want it to show that I was not defeated! I want to laugh more and cry less, to love more and resent less, to let go of fear and embrace possibilities! Happy New Year, Selma, happy 2012!

JOSIE!!!!!! How have you been? I have really missed you. I can’t tell you how great it is to see you. I agree wioth you so much – I want to be viewed in a positive light at the end. And I definitely do NOT want to be perceived as being defeated. Letting go of the fear is the thing, isn’t it? It’s daunting but it is possible.
Oh, it is so great to see you. Made my day π π π π

Those flowers are depicting the very essence of joie de vivre – wonderful photo and I do love the word(s) joie de vivre – I will write it in my little book of wondrous words and repeat to the children over and over – hahaha – just to annoy them π I am sure 2012 will be a great year for you Selma.

I love that you have a little book of wondrous words. That is something I would have loved as a child – going through the book and reading the wondrous words aloud. How marvellous!
I hope 2012 is a great year for all of us, Gabe. Keeping everything crossed!

My friend, your Brand New Door post is exceptional. Heartfelt, real and so beautifully expressed. Such a wonderful act to forgive. I find that I can be hurt for so long and then one day it just lifts and it’s the best feeling. Thank you for your support of my blog and your kind words. They are so appreciated.

Awww, thank you, Lucent. That is really sweet of you to say so. It was quite an emotional thing to write about but it has made me feel better. There really is nothing like that hurt lifting, is there?
I love your blog. You look at the world with such sensitivity and insight. And may I also say – with love? It is my pleasure to read it!
