Ramblin’ Around

I was out walking today, the sun was shining in my eyes and I could have sworn this mass of greenery moved. Don’t you think the bit in the middle looks like a head and the bushy bits on either side look like raised arms? I’m sure this bushy man must walk around at night. My neighbourhood has its very own Abominable Vegetation Man. Maybe he’s what Bigfoot would look like if he was a vegetarian.

I went to a wedding once where the bridesmaids wore dresses the same colour as this soft orange rose, captivating with its hints of pink and yellow. When I heard the bridesmaids dresses were going to be orange I scoffed, thinking it would never work, but it was a very elegant look.

I saw this boat at Drummoyne and I thought it looked like something you’d see in an island setting with the way the light is glinting on the water and the vegetation so close to the shore. Well, I suppose Australia is a pretty big island…..

This Masked Lapwing is like a little sentry staring out to sea. He seems so gallant and brave. Quite the little nobleman. I love his skinny legs.

I think he grew cross with my presence because he later flew off, voicing his protest out across the water.

The Anzac Bridge, looking particularly fetching today, coaxing the sky towards deeper shades of blue. How lucky I am to see this bridge every time I ramble.

And finally some chimney pots for my dear friend Patti. I found some blue ones, Patti. Can you believe it?

It’s just so nice to get out and ramble around.
