On Mondays I find I really need a quote to set me up for the week. There are so many good ones out there that I thought I would include a quote here every Monday.
Wishing you a happy and productive week.

I love this. Thanks for sharing it, Selma. Sometimes I need a good quote myself.

I just need a bit of a pick me up on a Monday, Patti. It’s harder to get going the older I get. And the week seems so loooooooong!

Good old Arthur π I have an uncle Arthur (Arthur Crook) – haha! That photo is spectacular – definitely would be on the lookout for seamonsters in that neck of the woods or water.

Arthur Crook!!!! What a fantastic name, Gabe. He is definitely a character straight from a book.
The photo is down at the bay at high tide. When the tide is out there are steps there and you can almost walk down onto the seabed. But when the tide is in? Seamonsters are waiting to pull you under……

Love the idea of ‘Quote of the Week’
My fave at the moment comes from a celebrity chef:
‘I try always to remember that the most exquisite and exotic cuisine will be s*** in 24 hours!’ π

Quotes do get us moving sometimes, don’t they Lauri? I’ve noticed that. I think they give us a bit of clarity.

I’m all about a positive, can do attitude at the moment, slpmartin. No more griping and whining about what I don’t have. If it takes a weekly quote to keep that attitude going, then I’m in

I love this because we are so often short-sighted in what we think we can accomplish, we are truly our own worst enemies. How do you know you can’t if you’ve never even tried? Life is all about courage, first and foremost the courage to overcome those dumb messages we send ourselves. Anything is possible if we want it badly enough! Great way to start the week, I feel better now! π

You are so right, Josie. This quote for me embodies that whole philosophy of feeling the fear and doing it anyway. We can often talk ourselves out of doing things because we either fear the outcome or believe we will fail. But nothing is really impossible (except maybe time travel and a lot of physicists would argue otherwise); it’s just our attitude that stops us!

This is a very apt quote. Living in a house now, I have to try my hand at stuff to see if I can do it. I can’t shirk back and say I can’t, I have to try cos maybe I CAN.
For you amusement, here is a quote from Jenn’s fridge. Now keep in mind I’ve never seen Lord of the RINGS but I laughed out loud when I read this . It goes as follows:
Deep Thoughts
If you ever lose your one true ring of power, in a river of molten lava, forget it, because man, it’s gone….
