Into The Impossible On Mondays I find I really need a quote to set me up for the week. There are so many good ones out there that I thought I would include a quote here every Monday. Wishing you a happy and productive week. 0.000000 0.000000 Advertisements Share this:ShareFacebookTwitterEmailTumblrGooglePinterestLike this:Like Loading... Related 37 thoughts on “Into The Impossible” I love this. Thanks for sharing it, Selma. Sometimes I need a good quote myself. LikeLike I just need a bit of a pick me up on a Monday, Patti. It’s harder to get going the older I get. And the week seems so loooooooong! LikeLike Hi Selma, A good choice, that is a great quote, and oh so true. 🙂 LikeLike It’s very true, Mags. I love reading quotes. Some of them are absolutely beautiful and most of them are very, very true! LikeLike A fine quote, indeed! LikeLike It is a goody, Madeleine. Very wise! LikeLike Good old Arthur 🙂 I have an uncle Arthur (Arthur Crook) – haha! That photo is spectacular – definitely would be on the lookout for seamonsters in that neck of the woods or water. LikeLike Arthur Crook!!!! What a fantastic name, Gabe. He is definitely a character straight from a book. The photo is down at the bay at high tide. When the tide is out there are steps there and you can almost walk down onto the seabed. But when the tide is in? Seamonsters are waiting to pull you under…… LikeLike Not if Max is there 🙂 LikeLike You have such a good memory, Bluebee. Max will be honoured!!! LikeLike Love the idea of ‘Quote of the Week’ My fave at the moment comes from a celebrity chef: ‘I try always to remember that the most exquisite and exotic cuisine will be s*** in 24 hours!’ 🙂 LikeLike Sounds like something Gordon Ramsay would say. LOL. That is too funny 😆 LikeLike No, he’s from Melbourne! Can’t remember his name offhand, though! LikeLike Perfectly timed for this mornings’ adventures. Love it Selma. LikeLike Glad you’re off to have some adventures, writingfeemail. Sounds like fun! LikeLike Great quote, it’s worked for me too! Thanks! LikeLike Quotes do get us moving sometimes, don’t they Lauri? I’ve noticed that. I think they give us a bit of clarity. LikeLike A good attitude to start the week off with…thanks! LikeLike I’m all about a positive, can do attitude at the moment, slpmartin. No more griping and whining about what I don’t have. If it takes a weekly quote to keep that attitude going, then I’m in LikeLike I love this because we are so often short-sighted in what we think we can accomplish, we are truly our own worst enemies. How do you know you can’t if you’ve never even tried? Life is all about courage, first and foremost the courage to overcome those dumb messages we send ourselves. Anything is possible if we want it badly enough! Great way to start the week, I feel better now! 🙂 LikeLike You are so right, Josie. This quote for me embodies that whole philosophy of feeling the fear and doing it anyway. We can often talk ourselves out of doing things because we either fear the outcome or believe we will fail. But nothing is really impossible (except maybe time travel and a lot of physicists would argue otherwise); it’s just our attitude that stops us! LikeLike “Alice laughed: “There’s no use trying,” she said; “one can’t believe impossible things.” “I daresay you haven’t had much practice,” said the Queen. “When I was younger, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” Alice in Wonderland. 😀 LikeLike That is such a brilliant quote, Iain. The wisdom of Lewis Carroll often leaves me stunned. Thank you so much for including it. It really is a beauty!!! LikeLike Well I just love Alice and your blog Selma 😉 LikeLike You are a sweetie, Iain ♥ LikeLike Fabulous quote, Selma! LikeLike It is a goody, Meleah. One of my favourite ones! LikeLike you made my monday! thanx! LikeLike Awww, Tipota. You are so lovely xxxx LikeLike Love your idea… the quote made me really think. Sometimes I don’t even think I get to my limits… the thought of going passed them is an awesome one. LikeLike It would be scary to pass our limits, Katherine. I know I’d be slightly freaking out. But it would also be exciting. Maybe one day…. LikeLike That’s a nice image and a good quote by Mr. Clarke. LikeLike Thanks, Roshan. You are very kind to say so! LikeLike This is a very apt quote. Living in a house now, I have to try my hand at stuff to see if I can do it. I can’t shirk back and say I can’t, I have to try cos maybe I CAN. For you amusement, here is a quote from Jenn’s fridge. Now keep in mind I’ve never seen Lord of the RINGS but I laughed out loud when I read this . It goes as follows: Deep Thoughts If you ever lose your one true ring of power, in a river of molten lava, forget it, because man, it’s gone…. LikeLike That is an hilarious quote, Cathy. I love it. LOL. You CAN do anything. I know you can. I can too. I know we can. Let’s GO!!!! LikeLike The impossible is much more interesting. xo LikeLike Oh, definitely. Stories, songs and beautiful photos live there. 😀 LikeLike Comments are closed.
